The counting of votes for the Patna Municipal Corporation elections has begun.
After 70 years, for the first time in the state, the public is electing the mayor-deputy mayor.
There are 32 mayor and 16 deputy mayor candidates in the race.

Election results of Patna Municipal Corporation are to come today. The counting of votes has started from 8 o’clock. The security system has been tightened even before the counting of votes. Be informed that the body elections are not held on party basis. After 70 years, for the first time in the state, the public is electing the mayor-deputy mayor. Earlier, the ward councilors were elected. In this election, 32 mayor and 16 deputy mayor candidates are trying their luck. Please tell that both the seats are also reserved for women.

In view of the security arrangements, there will be a ban on the movement of commercial vehicles on the route from Boring Road to Rajapur to Hartali Chowk, Bailey-Boring Road crossing. Similarly, the movement of all types of commercial vehicles from Patliputra Golambar towards AN College, Pani Tanki will be restricted. The route from Shivpuri to AN College Durga Mandir will be restricted for normal traffic.
